Here at GFI Software we are continuously striving to provide a better customer experience. One important factor in making sure this happens is ensuring all our systems are kept healthy and up to date with the latest patches.

As of September we will be introducing set maintenance windows for some of our products. The new maintenance windows will be as follows:

  • Monday 22:00 EDT (19:00 – 21:00 PDT, 4:00 – 6:00 CET)
  • Friday 22:00 EDT (19:00 – 21:00 PDT, 4:00 – 6:00 CET)

Maintenance windows will very rarely run over the scheduled two hours. In this blog we have included an FAQ covering some of the key questions our customers might have about this.

Which products will be affected?

Only GFI FaxMaker Online, GFI OneConnect, Kerio Cloud (as of October) and Exinda Network Orchestrator, will be directly affected by this new maintenance window. The GFI website and the GFI download servers will also be affected. Because of this some solutions will not be able to download the latest updates, but as mentioned above maintenance will rarely go beyond the two hour mark.

Does it mean GFI products and services will be affected two times per week for up to two hours?

No. Not all GFI products and services will be affected every week. The maintenance window is only a pre-established time slot when scheduled maintenance can happen.

Why are you doing it?

Our ultimate goal is increased service uptime. We want to make sure all maintenance for our products is unified in a simple and straightforward maintenance plan, eliminating the need for unnecessary downtime.

When will it start?

The new scheduled maintenance window is planned to be rolled out on September 4, 2017. The assigned times mentioned above have been chosen to cause the least disruptions in the main three time zones: EMEA, Americas and APAC.
