’Tis the season to step away from the treadmill …
… and treat your taste buds to some of the signature foods that define the holidays in different parts of the world!
Employees from our worldwide offices are sharing recipes for the dishes they most enjoy cooking at this festive time of year. They’re the key ingredients, so to speak, in GFI’s “DELICIOUS” 2013 holiday greeting for our co-workers, our suppliers and partners, and you – our valued visitor of this blog.
Why share recipes? (There are 19, if you’re wondering). Offering a “taste” of how we celebrate the season is our way of giving thanks to everyone that helped make GFI a success in 2013.
You’ll find there’s quite a range, too, and it’s by design. We’re proud that many cultures are represented in our offices, and we wanted our gift to reflect this aspect of GFI. Each recipe provides the dish name and a picture, as well as the first name and office location of the employee who opened the personal cook book.
The menu is certain to make mouths water. It includes:
- Entrees (roast chicken, honey mustard lamb rack)
- Desserts (black bottom cupcakes, pana cotta)
- Drinks (Gluhwein, Imbuljuta tal-Qastan)
Overall, 12 countries are represented with a recipe: Armenia, Australia, Austria, Germany, France, India, Italy, Malta, the Netherlands, Scotland, Spain and the United States.
In the words of the late, great Julia Child: “If you’re afraid of butter, use cream.”
