Yesterday was the official end to the 2016 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) – which marks a very hectic – but happy week for the Alliances and Marketing teams here at Exinda. We met a lot of partners, learned a lot and had a lot of great conversations that will hopefully lead to some meaningful relationships.
I was lucky that Microsoft WPC 2016 was in my home town of Toronto, which meant that we got to play hosts to some out of towners – which is always fun.
Starting Sunday, the Exinda team got going with the Expo and kept going all week. There were plenty of exciting chats with prospective partners where we were able to showcase how we can help improve the Quality of Experience and optimize performance for their critical applications like Sharepoint, Skype for Business or Office 365. A lot of conversations revolved around the difficulties in rolling out these services and having performance suffer due to network and traffic problems – something that Exinda has helped with since we started. And being able to give examples of how existing customers ensure their Microsoft applications perform with our solutions really resonated. A couple partners were even able to identify some of their customers where this was an issue today!
We also had the opportunity to showcase our newest product – QX Boost for Skype for Business – which received a very warm reception to the partners we talked to. The idea of combining the application and network data into a single solution really hit home with a lot of partners who have had difficulty in troubleshooting customer issues where they can’t tell where the problem is happening and what to do about. Seems like we’re on to something that can really help customers find and mitigate issues and ensure they’re getting the most out of their Skype for Business solution.
Outside the expo, the show itself was incredible – literally a sold out event. There were so many engaging sessions and exciting announcements from Microsoft on where they’re heading. Lots of buzz from everyone we talked to.
For most of us at Exinda this was a new event. We came looking to get our name out there and meet with several companies and we’re leaving the show feeling accomplished. But more than that, we learned a lot about the Microsoft partner community and quite a bit more about Microsoft. Can’t wait to see what comes out of this!
